CYCLONE OF WAR
Elizabeth Mann Borgese
The background of Huong's Cyclone of War is a frenzy of flags whirling violently in strong winds creating chaos in its past. In this analogy to War, Huong presents us with the Savaged Faces of War surrounded by the flags of participating nations: Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel, Libya, Somalia, Iran, the Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, United States, Korea.x The flags are propelled into whirlwind, each taking its place in the eye of the storm leaving its damage and human detritus in its wake.
She is telling us that War is bottomless and reckless and intensifies with time If anything occurs at one place or at one time in the universe, it is bound to occur in another. So too, is the nature of WAR..
There is a loneliness in humankind when one is unable or unwilling to recognize its oneness in a world attached to its tribes.
"Wisdom consists of the anticipation of consequences."
Are we ready for WWIII? This is Hell's Hell.
